Job Description

Salary: $106,100 - 176,800 per year Requirements:

  • We require at least 4 years of professional software development experience, including exposure to enterprise-scale systems.
  • We need hands-on development experience on IBM i (AS400) using RPGLE, CLLE, and SQL.
  • We look for the ability to build modern, modular ILE programs with RPGLE, SQL, and CLLE.
  • We expect a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • We value a demonstrated commitment to keeping current with IBM i language enhancements and platform capabilities.
  • We require strong knowledge of SDLC practices, Agile delivery methods, and collaborative version-control workflows.
  • We look for experience developing, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting mission-critical enterprise applications.
  • We expect practical understanding of software integration patterns, service-to-service communication, release management, and environment promotion practices.
  • We require experience working in Agile environments and applying disciplined software engineering practices.
  • We need strong analytical, debugging, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: experience deploying solutions on IBM i with languages such as Java, Node.js, Python, or PHP.
  • Preferred: experience designing, developing, or consuming REST APIs.
  • Preferred: experience with Kafka or other message-based and event-driven systems.
  • Preferred: experience with digital technologies such as Python, Java, MongoDB, or related platforms.
  • Preferred: knowledge of Warehouse Management and Order-to-Cash processes.
  • Preferred: experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, test automation frameworks, and monitoring automation.
  • Preferred: experience in distribution, logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, or healthcare distribution environments.
  • Limited travel may be required based on business needs.
  • Hybrid or remote work arrangements may be available in line with company policy.
Responsibilities:
  • We research, design, develop, test, debug, implement, and manage Warehouse Management System solutions for our Distribution Centers.
  • We participate in the implementation, enhancement, and modification of source code and scripts while staying current with emerging technologies, methods, and industry best practices.
  • We analyze requirements, build and automate tests, and verify that software solutions meet business and technical needs.
  • We monitor application performance, identify defects, perform root-cause analysis, and apply effective fixes.
  • We integrate solutions across applications and platforms while maintaining interoperability, reliability, and sound design principles.
  • We collaborate with vendors and internal partners to resolve functionality or interoperability issues in new and existing applications.
  • We use DevOps and Agile practices to deliver functionality efficiently and iteratively.
  • We own development work from technical planning through deployment and contribute to technical design and code reviews.
  • We apply automation, CI/CD practices, version control, testing, and disciplined release management to improve quality and delivery reliability.
  • We share best practices, provide technical direction, and mentor or coach team members as needed.
  • We contribute to technical roadmaps and strategic planning for technologies used across our Distribution Centers.
  • We create and maintain technical documentation, development standards, and operational support materials.
